Our main aim is to provide people with disabilities
with a lasting sense of achievement, independence and self-confidence
through participation in adventurous outdoor activities. We provide access to such activities at our purpose-built centres in Exmoor, Keswick and Kielder (Northumberland), where typical activities on offer are canoeing, sailing, abseiling (even in wheelchairs), climbing, horse riding, orienteering, all in or near to beautiful national parks. We believe that it is what you can do that counts – a focus on achievement beyond disability. We strive to maintain our goal in an environment of friendship, co-operation and respect. The beneficiaries of our services – people with all types of disabilities, their families, carers, and friends come from throughout the UK and Europe. Flora London Marathon We have a few guaranteed places in the London Marathon. We ask our Golden Bond runners to raise a minimum of £1,500 in sponsorship. If you have won a place through the public ballot, we would be delighted to welcome you into our team. We are also looking to increase our wheelchair team. The Calvert Trust Team will be supported throughout training, a pasta party the evening before the race, and after the event with a post race reception at a great pub near the finish line. www.calvert-trust.org.uk
