Arthritis Research Campaign
Arthritis Research Campaign

Over 8 million men, women and children in the UK are affected by arthritis; 3 million of these have a significant degree of disability. Basic, everyday tasks can prove painful and arduous, as stiff and swollen joints inhibit mobility. These people can only dream of running to victory in the Flora London Marathon.

The Arthritis Research Campaign aims to alleviate this suffering by pin-pointing the cause, treatment and eventually a cure for all forms of arthritis and rheumatic diseases. Over £20 million is spent each year on pioneering medical research and providing educational information to patients, carers and medical professionals.

All the funds raised from the 2001 Flora London Marathon will be directed into these research and education programmes. The Arthritis Research Campaign receives no government funding, and so is completely dependent on the generosity of the general public to fund its work.

If you would like information on how to join our team, and the very special range of benefits and incentives that you will be eligible for as an Arthritis Research Campaign runner, please view our main Website or call the challenge Hotline on 01246 541 108.
